PLEASE NOTE THAT BY SECURING A BOOKING AND/OR PURCHASING A GIFT VOUCHER THE CLIENT ACCEPTS THE BELOW TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Any bookings effected by COVID-19, are fully transferrable to a rescheduled date of booking, subject to availability, with no additional fees charged. Any bookings after 31st October 2020 will require a new retainer payment in order to reschedule their booking date with Gemma. There are no further changes to T&C’s listed below.
Also, please be rest assured that Gemma has always been compliant with hygiene standards. Upon returning to work following COVID-19, Gemma will be taking additional measures to ensure extra protection for both herself & clients. For further information on these procedures, please do ask for details.
BOOKING – WEDDING DAY MAKEUP
Enquiries for Bridal makeup are to be via email, including dates, costs, procedures, and any changes, verbal discussions are not valid. There is a non refundable retainer fee payable to secure bridal makeup with Gemma, which is 30% of the booking total and is deducted from the total. Retainer fee's are payable to secure the the date with Gemma to enable other work to be declined, it also enables Gemma to cater for admin time and make arrangements ahead of a booking. Remaining balances are payable up to a week prior to the wedding day. Remaining balance payments are non refundable. The retainer fee is payable before or after a bridal makeup trial, at the clients discretion. Receipt of a retainer fee payment confirms the Agreement and secures Gemma’s availability for the Event on the agreed date and time for the agreed Fee. Enquiries for which the retainer fee has not been paid are not confirmed and therefore availability cannot be guaranteed and an agreement is not formally in place.
BOOKING – OTHER MAKEUP
Bookings can be secured via email, social media or text. This confirms the agreement and secures Gemma’s availability for the Event on the agreed date and time for the agreed fee. The full cost of a booking is incurred if a cancellation is received less than 24 hours before the Event. Cancellations are only deemed valid if received via the contact method used to secure the booking. The fee is always agreed beforehand, verbal agreements are not offered as they are not deemed valid.
Gemma accepts payments via bank transfer or Paypal. If an Event is less than 1 week away, full payment is required to secure the booking. There are no exceptions to this. Any late payments will result in accounts referring to legal proceedings.
Travel expenses are incurred for services booked outside a 15-mile road distance from Gemma’s home. They are payable at 40p per mile and are based on the return journey. Distances are calculated using an online journey planner and travel expenses will be agreed between Gemma and the client as part of the agreement. If required, alternative methods of transport other than motor vehicles, such as rail or flight will be discussed and agreed with the Client during the booking process. Where travel expenses are incurred for travel by car to locations where the service is to be provided within the London Congestion Charge Zone, at times when the Charge is in operation, the London Congestion Charge fee will be added to the Fee. Any applicable parking fee's will be chargeable to the client during the times of work.
It is the Client’s responsibility to inform Gemma of any potential issues such as medical conditions, allergies, and/or sensitivities. Gemma can not be held liable for any condition that arises or loss incurred by the client if Gemma has not been informed beforehand.
Gemma reserves the right to cancel the agreement if the behaviour of the client is deemed inappropriate and/or if the client reports a condition that Gemma deems as a risk to herself or the client’s health and well-being. In these cases any payments that have already been made by the client for the service are non-refundable.
Gemma will always endeavour to honour the agreement to the best of her ability. There may be circumstances beyond control where a illness, act of god, delay or otherwise unavailable, sometimes at short notice. In such a case Gemma will inform the Client at its earliest convenience and endeavour to make favourable alternative arrangements if possible and required. Gemma reserves the right to offer the client compensation in the event that it is not able to honour the agreement. This is entirely dependent on the circumstances and will be discussed openly and honestly with the client.
The maximum time that Gemma can spend on any one trial is 2.5 hours for a makeup trial. Any additional time required for trial sessions will have to be booked as a repeat trial. If a second/repeat makeup trial is requested, the same fee's apply as for the first trial. Time of agreed booking, is the time Gemma schedules to start work at, any delay due to your party will result in the amount of work possible for the booking with full amount still payable. Confirmed bookings are where both parties agree on date, time, location, and cost. A notification will be sent once the booking is confirmed. Bridal trial session is essential prior to the wedding day, failure to do so will lead to automatic cancellation. Any images taken are there by in agreement for usage unless stated other wise at the booking. Hair styling is only a bookable service when booking makeup, no hair styling only bookings available. Gemma reserves the right to cancel a booking following a trial, without a refund of the deposit, in circumstances where there is a mismatch in styles, approach, expectations and/or the client is uncooperative, not open to suggestions or makes any member of the team feel uncomfortable. It is advisable that client's familiarize themselves with Gemma’s work portfolio and are confident that the capabilities and style are appropriate before securing a booking. Gemma strives to ensure that all participants are happy with the results of a trial before leaving however, In the unlikely event that a bride or any member of the bridal party, decide after the trial that they are not satisfied, they are asked to make contact immediately so that the matter can be resolved. Refunds, retrials, or cancellations without charges are solely at Gemma's discretion.
